Elizabeth Honer: I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and went to Northern Arizona University for both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music. After completing school, I moved to New Jersey in 2003, where I met my partner of nearly ten years. We live in Woodbridge. Artistically, I have returned to my first love, storytelling through filmmaking and animation. My dream is to someday enter a short film in a film festival. (I have a long way to go!)
Spiritually, I did not grow up in any tradition, and I’ve always searched for a place and a community I could call home. I am so happy to have found a place where I feel embraced just for being myself, where I can examine my spirituality, ask questions and have deep conversations. I also love how FCC is involved in the greater community and in social justice issues that are important to me. And, I feel like I am surrounded by role models. I look up to everyone here, the people at this church embody the kind of person I want to be.
