Rachel, Mark, Francy, Arabella & Angelina found FCC through an interest in Fair Trade and the many social justice projects the church sponsors. Originally from Ireland, they came to Montclair by way of Washington DC. Mark was the former Bureau Chief of Reuter’s New York and Northeastern U.S. office. When he is not fully engaged in work or fatherhood, Mark enjoys writing fiction, reading literature, playing guitar, watching soccer, advocating for adoption and helping older orphans find forever homes.
Rachael is a freelance writer and adoption activist. She has a degree from the Dunlaoghaire School of Art and Design and has worked for the National Capitol YMCA, Outward Bound, and City Volunteer Corps in NYC. While raising her daughters takes up most of her days, she also loves to entertain, write, and advocate for foster children to find forever homes. They recently adopted their oldest daughter, Francy, who was born in Colombia. Rachel and Mark have jumped into FCC with both feet: teaching Sunday School, playing music in worship, and supporting many of the peace and justice projects of the church.
